Tallawong High School is being delivered to meet the needs of one of Sydney’s fastest-growing communities, providing local students with a new, modern secondary school close to home.

The new high school is currently on track to open for Day 1, Term 1, 2027 and is being built on a four-hectare site at 201 Guntawong Road, Tallawong. The school has been designed with future growth in mind, allowing for expansion as the community around Tallawong Metro Station continues to grow.

The project will provide students with purpose-built learning spaces and facilities designed to support a high-quality public education experience for generations to come.

For too long, families across Sydney’s North West experienced rapid population growth without the critical infrastructure needed to support new communities. Thousands of new homes were approved while local schools struggled to keep pace with increasing demand.

The Department’s Enrolment Growth Audit identified Sydney’s North West growth corridor as one of the fastest-growing student populations in NSW, highlighting the need for significant investment in new and upgraded schools.

Tallawong High School is part of a broader program of school infrastructure projects across Sydney’s North West, helping replace temporary facilities with permanent classrooms and ensuring local students have access to modern learning environments.
